Ideas for the work you’re doing and the work you want to do next.
Direction
Your next chapter.
You may need a different introduction, a different offer, or a different body of work. Those are three different moves.
- Realignment
- The work still fits. Your focus or description needs to catch up.
- Renovation
- The foundation holds. Change the offer, the format, or who it serves.
- Redirection
- You’re entering different territory. Carry relevant skills, then build evidence there.
A designer already shaping the brief may need to show that thinking in a case study. Someone entering an unfamiliar discipline needs work that demonstrates what they can do there. A new bio can’t solve both.
Making the change visible ↗︎Positioning
Make it believable.
Put the proof next to the promise. The reader shouldn’t have to imagine why they can trust it.
- A claim that reaches too far
- “We build brands that transform businesses.”
- An offer the work can support
- “Visual identities and launch sites for independent food brands.”
Show the packaging, the site, and the decisions connecting them. That demonstrates design capability. A claim about business transformation needs evidence of business results.
